Creative Strategy and Implementation Plan

When the offer, audiences, story and creative expression need to work together.

I help organisations, places, founders and ventures clarify the central proposition, identify the audiences that matter most, shape a coherent story and set a practical creative direction for what should happen next.

The Strategic CHALLENGE

When direction needs to hold together

Some organisations, places, founders and ventures reach a point where the substance is strong but the direction is no longer clear. The offer may have grown more complex, audiences may have multiplied, activities may have accumulated or a new phase may require a clearer way forward.

The challenge is not always a lack of ideas. More often, the central proposition, priorities and story no longer connect as clearly as they need to.

This plan brings those elements into alignment, creating a clearer basis for decisions, communication and practical action.

What the Plan Clarifies

• The central proposition and value being offered.

• The priority audiences and the response the work needs from them.

• The organising story connecting substance, meaning, relevance and proof.

• Story guidelines covering emphasis, tone, evidence and what to avoid.

• The message hierarchy leaders, teams and collaborators can use consistently.

• The creative direction for writing, visual presentation, websites, experiences and selected photography.

What You Receive

• A concise written strategic framework.

• A clear proposition and priority audience hierarchy.

• An organising story and practical story guidelines.

• A key-message framework for consistent communication.

• Creative direction for the relevant writing, website, visual and experience requirements.

• A sequenced implementation route showing priorities, dependencies, specialist roles and possible next phases.

THE WORKING APPROACH

from context to practical direction

You share the relevant background, existing plans and current materials, followed by a focused working conversation about the organisation, opportunity and decisions that need to be made.

The work develops through five connected stages:

Understand — review the relevant context, materials, audiences and ambitions.

Clarify — identify the central proposition, priorities and decisions that matter most.

Distinguish — define what is distinctive, credible and meaningful to the audiences that matter most.

Shape — develop the organising story, key messages and appropriate creative direction.

Guide — set out the practical priorities, sequence and next steps for implementation.

Together, these stages produce a clear written direction plan that can guide communication, creative development and future decisions. It may be commissioned independently or developed following a Positioning & Message Review. Any implementation support is agreed separately.

This is a strategic direction plan rather than a formal business, investment or funding plan. It does not include detailed financial forecasts, investment valuations, tax advice, legal advice, full campaign execution or technical implementation unless specifically agreed. Any further writing, website, visual, photography or implementation work is scoped separately.
