DISCUSS YOUR BRIEF

WHEN THIS SERVICE HELPS

Move Commercial Conversations Forward

You may have a service, project or opportunity ready to take forward, but need someone to approach relevant people, arrange introductions or maintain contact. You may also need a reliable point of liaison between your business and potential customers, partners or organisations.

I work on your behalf within an agreed brief, explaining your proposition, supporting conversations and following up on next steps. This includes understanding each party’s interests, clarifying questions and keeping you informed as discussions develop.

The work can focus on a specific introduction or provide continuity across an ongoing commercial relationship. I draw on relevant experience, existing connections and focused research, with the approach guided by your objectives and the people you need to reach.

How I Can Help

We agree whom you need to reach, what I will undertake on your behalf and how we will review progress. The work may involve one or more of these areas.

01

Identify Contacts

Identify the people and organisations relevant to your objectives. I draw on existing relationships and focused research to find potential customers, partners or other useful contacts. We agree whom to approach, why the opportunity may interest them and what information is needed to begin a credible conversation.

02

Open Conversations

Approach agreed contacts and explain your proposition on your behalf. I establish whether there is mutual interest, arrange introductions or meetings and help you prepare for discussions. Each approach gives the other party a clear reason to engage, with relevant information and a practical next step to consider.

03

Maintain Contact

Keep communication moving as discussions and relationships develop. I follow up on agreed actions, clarify questions and liaise between the people involved. You receive updates on responses, progress and matters requiring your attention, helping you decide when to move forward, adjust the approach or pause discussions.

From Introduction to Ongoing Dialogue

Agree the Brief

We establish what you want to achieve, whom you need to reach and the role you want me to undertake. We agree how I will describe your business or project, what information I may share and which matters require your approval.

Approach and Learn

I approach the agreed contacts and report on their responses. Early discussions help establish interest, timing and questions that need answering. We use that feedback to refine the approach and decide where further contact would be useful.

Follow Through and Review

I support introductions, maintain contact and follow up on agreed next steps. You receive updates on discussions and decisions needing your attention. We review progress at agreed intervals, while you retain responsibility for commercial decisions and agreements.

WORKING TOGETHER

A Defined Role on Your Behalf

We agree the scope, priorities, responsibilities, fees and timing before work begins. The brief sets out whom I may approach, how I will represent you and the extent of my involvement in meetings, communication and follow-up.

An engagement may cover a specific introduction, a defined period of outreach or ongoing commercial liaison supported by a monthly retainer. Where appropriate, we can discuss a clearly defined commission arrangement alongside the agreed fees.

My role centres on commercial relationships and communication. You retain responsibility for decisions, agreements and delivery, while I keep you informed and refer matters requiring your approval. Any additional involvement is scoped and agreed separately.

Taking the Next Step

If you are still deciding which opportunities to pursue or how to approach a market, Business Development & Partnerships can help establish your priorities before outreach begins.

If your offer needs clearer definition, a Positioning & Message Review can clarify your value, audiences and key messages. A Creative Strategy Plan can then guide how you present your business, service or project through words, imagery and supporting materials.

We choose the starting point that fits your situation and agree any additional support around what would help you move forward.

Discuss a Representation Brief

Tell me whom you want to reach, what you want to achieve and where you need someone to act on your behalf. We can discuss whether my experience is relevant and agree a practical starting point.
