Business & Brand Direction Plan

A practical strategic framework for clearer decisions, stronger positioning and focused action.

For organisations, places and ventures that need to clarify what they offer, who they serve and where they should focus next.

Strategic Direction

Turn Complexity into a Workable Direction

Some organisations, places and ventures reach a point where the issue is no longer simply how they communicate. More fundamental questions need resolving: what they offer, who it is for, what makes it distinctive and where effort should be focused.

A Business & Brand Direction Plan brings those questions together in a coherent, workable framework. It is suited to founders, owners and established organisations whose activities have become complex, whose direction is changing or whose value is not being expressed clearly.

The work connects business thinking with positioning, story and communication. It is not a conventional marketing exercise and does not replace specialist financial, legal or investment advice.

What the Plan Considers

• Purpose and the problem or opportunity being addressed

• Central offer, point of difference and priority audiences

• How services, experiences or products fit together

• Revenue logic and commercial priorities, where relevant

• Positioning, central story and communication requirements

• Operating priorities, responsibilities, partnerships and risks

What You Receive

• A concise written direction plan

• A clear definition of the offer, audience and priorities

• Recommended positioning and a central message framework

• A coherent structure for services, experiences or products

• Prioritised decisions and practical next steps

• A six- or twelve-month action plan, depending on the scope

HOW THE PLAN WORKS

You share the relevant background, existing plans and current materials, followed by a focused working conversation about the organisation, opportunity and decisions that need to be made. Where useful, the process may also include conversations with key people connected to the organisation or project.

I then review the information, identify the questions and decisions that matter most, and develop the written direction plan. The work concludes with a focused discussion of the findings, priorities and practical next steps.

The plan can be commissioned independently or developed following a Positioning & Message Review. Any implementation support is agreed separately.

This is a strategic direction plan rather than a formal investment or funding business plan. Where detailed financial forecasts, investment valuations, tax advice, funding schedules or specialist legal input are required, those elements must be prepared or reviewed by an appropriately qualified professional.
