The maturing cub softly emerges from the bush, eyes deliberately locked onto the path nearby.
"Tafuta" means to search.
The cubs demeanour showed focus, and it's stealthy silence reflected the cat-like character of quiet strength. The cub was on a hunt, but it was no ordinary hunt. It was tailing a kin, another member of the pride, as they engaged in a game of hide-and-seek.
This is such a key part of their survival. Games of stealth, pounce, position, and light bites all prepare these beautiful and inspiring creatures for many, to live another day. The bush can be harsh, and often it is unforgiving. So learning the art and craft of hunting is pivotal to their own continuity in this part of the untouched world. It was a beautiful thing to witness.
