Cast against the whitewash of the tumbling wave, the silhouette of a surfer dances against the ocean's movement.
Not all moments are equal, as they say. A thousand shots of the same scene lead to a thousand scenes. Luckily, I did not take many attempts at this time, but this shot stood out to me as the complete shape of the surfer contrasted so cleanly against the surrounding frothy whitewash of the roller he was riding. At that moment, as he righted himself to achieve the perfect balance, his arms briefly outstretched, the display seemed to reflect a subject of power, intricate talent, and a craft of movement that touched on this scene to help create a sense of artistry. It's all in the moment, I like to think.
