A white horse clip clops toward the canopy of the surrounding forest.
It was getting dark, and as I turned, my eye caught the slightest of movements at the edge of some trees below. Gently, I stopped, turning my focus on a break between the tall, darkening shadows. I scanned for a few moments and was about to move away when he suddenly appeared. His ghostly white shape contrasts against the surrounding shapes. It was a brief moment, and with a few trots, he was gone again.
It was almost surreal, yet true. In life, moments just seem to casually come and go by, and it's our attention that draws on just how special time can be. Taking this shot made me think about how often we see things only briefly, and then they vanish. The sense to see and even value such time can be brief, yet if captured, it can also be lifelong.
