KINGS CATCH 👣

A kingfisher flashes for a split second before it spears a passing meal.

Timing is critical in everything, I realize. I suppose we sometimes fail to see what is happening in front of us. Following an earlier shot, I came across this moment when going through my photos in post. It's pretty amazing what one can find when one looks more closely. I have the advantage of being able to capture nearly 30 frames per second, but this little beauty is so fast that you simply rely on luck. Just so you realize the speed, out of 30 frames shot in one second, I only managed to capture the kingfisher in four!

FEATHERED FRIENDS COLLECTION

Welcome to our feathered friends, with their flights of fancy, twitchers' delight, and the lightest touch.

Ever-present in our lives, birds fill the skies, settle in tree branches, and thrive on the ground. Their movements fill us with delight and awe, their silence broken by delightful songs or anxious craws. This collection celebrates these moments in time with our feathered friends.
