With her bait set, she viewed the murky, rough sea for her cast to follow.

She stood there for a while. Her rod ready; the other already cast. The wind had changed, and now rougher weather was making its first appearance. Her eyes scanned for a good place to cast her bait. The shoals were in but were nowhere to be seen at the moment. I continued to watch, holding dearly onto my GoPro camera, focusing on the subject at hand. For a moment, time seemed to stand still, and I took the shot.

Experimenting with some different perspectives in photography certainly can push one out of one’s comfort zone. Entering the sea on this rather freezing day was questionable for most, but for me, it was a fresh take on the subject I had been watching. The fishing folk had come out, trying their hand at the shoals of sardine and the larger predatory fish that typically followed them. So in this moment, the idea of capturing the cold, unrelenting sea, the subject of the hopefulness of a catch to be made, and the roughness of this scene were priorities in my mind. Perhaps it translates, perhaps it doesn't, but what I can conclude is that that day rewarded me with an interesting perspective.

Wild Shores Collection

Welcome to our wild shores, where the two worlds of turning ocean tides meet and dance with rocky, tumbling coasts and serene sandy shorelines. This is our place to taste the salty air that brings so much oxygen to our joy.

We explore the ever-present energy of the sea as it welcomes those who ride its tumbling waves, push through placid moments, and absorb its vast expanse. The sea, an ocean of the infinite, provides Mother Nature's oceanic forces to live in and find ourselves. We delight in its beauty, fly with its waves, and move through its tidal zones to find our moment of infinity.
