ANGALIA

ANGALIA 👣

The leopard turns to swiftly check for a place of safety, his kill beneath.

Angalia in Swahili means to "check."

His timing was impeccable. Within a few minutes of the kill, he dragged the body through the grasses towards a clump of trees. While the bush was plentiful on one side, he sought higher ground, aiming his journey towards one of the few trees close enough. His experience seemed to show, as he paused suddenly, dropping the antelope on the ground beneath him, and took a lengthy moment to survey his options. Perhaps his few years brought some caution to his choice, as after carefully scrutinising his options, his eyes narrowed in on one particularly large tree some 100 feet away on the hilly ground nearby.

With the sun setting rapidly and hyenas baying in the distance, he silently gripped his kill  and pressed forward towards his chosen haven.

RAW AFRICA COLLECTION

Welcome to Africa - the wise, the restless, the life-giving.

This soulful land of dreamers gives rise to the underbelly of a beautiful, gentle beat that is only heard by those who listen for it. This photographic journey explores, profiles, and captures what I hope is the heart and soul of Africa's true wilderness kingdom. From its deep bush to its dry savannah and desert, Africa remains a place where life is represented by timeless vistas that are distilled into moments to treasure.
